I've noticed an a lot of typewriters popping up in movie trailers lately. Not too long ago, teens and young adults had no idea what this relic was. Now, is it a retro trend, like vinyl?
Yep, I definitely think it's a trend. I think I would like one--I'd love to hear a little sound for each letter I type. It kinda sounds like clapping :) Popped over from Sits.
No typewriter on my book but I definitely know what one is! I can't imagine with all my editing how that was done before computers. Seems like a ton of work.
It was more work but there was something that made you feel like you were really creating. The pages were there to show your hard work. Of course we used LOTS of Wite-Out!
My sis has a typewriter and I've been hitting thrift stores for the perfect one. I saw a writer (http://www.type-rider.com/) earlier this summer with such an awesome one!
Course I know kids that don't know what a VCR is... that makes me feel old. Glad you posted in Sharefest today!
Hey! Stopping by via sits. Remember the word processor? That was the upgrade from a type writer. I know what you mean about being swamped at work and not having a lot of time to blog during the week. I notice a big drop in my traffic when that happens.

I'd love a typewriter. Esp. a pink one. Popped in from SITS!
Me too! I've been looking on ebay for the perfect one.

Here's another new film that seems to fit this list: Writers (2012)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2205697/
Thanks for the heads up Chris. Sounds promising. Especially a Stephen King cameo!
